Entrepreneurship Competition Vilnius’10 can be proud to have a great success in applied candidate teams from many Europe countries. Something new was brought this year to the competitors. Not only they had to analyse a case study in an admission stage, but also the twelve finalist teams got an opportunity to play a remote testing stage from CESIM. During the final days of the competition, participants at first met in Vilnius Old Town, where had a guided tour around it. Later on, after paint-ball tournament both organizers and participants met in a restaurant to have some social time.
The next day began with an opening in Vilnius University Faculty of Economics. When the marvelous speeches from Minister of Education and Science Gintaras Steponavičius, member of the Seimas Petras Auštrevičius, last year winner Aurimas Račas and other remarkable people were given, the teams started the CESIM simulation. The next day participants had to bring analysis for the very challenging Ernst&Young case study. On the second part of this day, the teams were assessed by a jury made of very competent people such as Minister of Finance Ingrida Šimonytė, CocaCola Hellenic delegate Gordon Fyfe, Petras Auštrevičius and other. Finally, the award ceremony dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s. Announced winners of ECV’10 were The Freakonomists (Matas Valevičius, Kotryna Drąsutytė, Eglė Mažulytė and Ignas Daunys). 4 of the kind got the second place and the third place winners from Sweden were Atlas.
With new inventions ECV’11 seeks to be one of the most significant entrepreneurial events in Europe. Therefore it will support many talents to come under spotlight, while companies would stand a great chance to find future promising employees.
